Uluwatu Temple

Pura Luhur Uluwatu belongs to one of ancient temple in Bali, It was built around 11th century during Mpu Kuturan came to this island. The position of this temple is above the 70 meter of limestone clift and faces the Indian Ocean. It makes the overlooking view is amazing, see how great the panorama  companioned by the wild monkeys stay around the temple. the best time to visit this temple is around 4 or 5 pm, so after walking around we can continue to watch the Kecak dance while enjoying the sunset.

Kecak fire Dance

Kecak Dance performs every day at 6.00pm, A Kecak performance is very simple. The men’s chorus chants the words Cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak, in rhythm, over and over again, For this reason they are called the Kecak or Cak dance. The Kecak dances consist of about fifty men wearing only a loin-cloth, the upper part of their bodies left bare. They form rows of circles, in the middle of which is a coconut oil lamp. The Kecak dance is performed for dance-dramas and the story presented is take from the Ramayana epic.
